Hi, to everybody,

I have got a problem on my old laptop.

Windows  xp pro sp3 (japanese version) in normal and safe mode runs without problems.

I installed the recovery console following the instructions given on this site and the installation seemed to be fine, but when I tried to run the recovery console I got a bsod.

I tried running the recovery console from the cd and there were no problems.I Already run a virus check with the karspesky live cd and got no warnings.

What could be the possible causes of the bsod?

Thanks for your help.
