Hello,

I have recently upgraded from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 Build 10074. When I first upgraded the start menu and cortana were working fine until i turned off my pc and turned it back on. I have used the command in power shell but that didn't work.

Thanks

Hi Aramus :)

You are running an outdated build of Windows 10 which can easily break down for no apparent reason. I suggest you to update to the latest build and see if it fixes your issues.

The latest build available for download from Microsoft directly is build 10130:

But the "latest" available build overall is a bit higher I think.

One more problem, will the error Invalid value for registry be fixed?

Aramus,

If this happens again (w/ Build 10130 or any other Build) > Task Manager, find Windows explorer on the list, highlight it & hit the Restart button @ the bottom right of the TM window.

Cheers,
Drew

How much space left do you have on your hard drive (or partition)?

It won't be enough. You should wipe your Windows 10 partition and do a clean reinstallation since running on an outdated build isn't the best thing to do.
