Recently, my laptop keeps having BSOD. I have an msi gt70 laptop and have recently changed the graphics card due to the last one short circuiting. The previous one was an Nvidia GTX 670m and the new one is an Nvidia GTX 675m. Before changing it, it had the same problems, but less frequently. I have integrated graphics and occasionally, it will switch to the Intel HD Graphics 4000 and the fan will turn up all the way. When this happens, I cannot switch back to my Nvidia graphics and cannot shut down my computer. It will go in a loop continuously during shutdown. I also ran a whocrashed scan and is submitted with the files below. Please help me fix this issue.

Thank you,

Ctkaho

It is very unusual that switching to a lesser graphics card should make the system work harder.
I'd be concerned about a problem with the switching and maybe that the nVidia card isn't shutting off like it should.

When updating the video drivers, be sure to update both the Intel and the nVidia cards - along with any switching software that may be used (I didn't notice any, but mention it just to be sure).

BIOS dates from 2012, please update it if there is a BIOS update available.

Be very, very careful doing this, and not the many cautions on this page:  http://www.msi.com/support/nb/GT70_0NC.html#down-bios&Win7%2064

Only 268 Windows Updates installed.  Most systems have 300 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

Uninstall LogMeIn Hamachi - it's driver (hamachi.sys) dates from 2009

Uninstall MalwareBytes - it may be conflicting with your Avast while it's resident in the RAM.  Should you decide to reinstall it later on, be sure to NOT select the trial of the PRO version - as that's what causes it to load into RAM

Uninstall the Razer software and physically remove the Razer device(s) from your system.  Use a regular mouse/keyboard while testing.

When reinstalling the Razer devices (after testing), be sure to download the latest, Win7 compatible version from the Razer website.

Uninstall the MSI Super-Charger software.  It's driver (NTIOLib_X64.sys) is known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems.

If errors recur, download fresh copies of the video (Intel, nVidia, and any switching software) and networking drivers (both wired, wireless, and bluetooth).

Then remove the video and networking drivers currently installed on the system.

Then install the freshly downloaded copies.
