I was introduced to this site at a microsoft store by a tech doing a virus/malware removal - that just wouldn't show up with my AVG and infected a new computer without being on a network. Ironicly, I'm a mom of 3 tech geek, computer nerds, one is even a software engineer, but since none of them live in my town, I'm on my own. It's not that I'm totally computer ignorant, it's just that I got too far behind, relying on them instead of myself. I have a lot of catching up to do! My bad!

I've learned so much already, just by browsing this site, and from watching and listening to the Microsoft tech in the initial diagnostics, that I have encouraged several friends to check this site for assistance.

What I have mostly learned is that I have a lot to learn-- there is so much confusion on security, firewalls, identity protection, products, scams, etc, etc.

I am so happy that I have a place to educate myself, ask questions from others, and have a safe place to download from.

Thank you in advance.

G'day overwhelmed3, and :welcome:  to BC !

Ask all the questions you want.....you will get varying answers, and plenty of them !.....certainly enough to make a decision, and to take away some of the confusion which we have all experienced at one time or another.
