I have a Toshiba Tecra M11

Part: PTME1U-02H01101

Serial: 7A170219H

I freshly installed Windows 7 from a proper Home Premium disk.

I need the network driver so I can connect to the internet to run Windows Update.

https://pc.toshiba-asia.com/sg/support/drivers/details/31394

This driver did not work

I extract the zipped file and it says it's on my computer under file TM11_Win7_64_Intel_Wireless_LAN...\TC00238300B.exe but then I can't actually find the file anywhere.

http://support.toshiba.com/support/modelHome?freeText=PTME1U-02H01101

The LAN and WLAN drivers from the Toshiba website for this part did not work.

I have transferred some of these files to my Tecra via USB drive, and some from my Android through USB.

When I check the Properties -> Compatability for these drivers on this computer (Dell Latitude E6410) then it shows the option for Windows 7 compatibility mode among all other Windows editions.

When I check the Properties -> Compatability for these drivers on my Tecra then it lists every Windows edition up to Vista as an option. Windows 7 compatibility mode isn't an option.

I extract the zipped file and it says it's on my computer under file TM11_Win7_64_Intel_Wireless_LAN...\TC00238300B.exe but then I can't actually find the file anywhere.

Is the LAN or WLAN the driver I'm even supposed to be looking for? Idk.

Thank you for any help.

Hello, and Welcome

Right click your Network Adapter and Wireless adapter in Device Manager. Select Properties and under the Details tab select Hardware IDs in the dropdown box. Copy and post the first line from each device.

You can see everything except the PC name above Batteries.

One would be the Network Controller. The other would be the Ethernet Controller. After we get the wireless and Ethernet working then we can get the drivers for the other devices with yellow exclamation marks.

First Download and install the Chipset driver here

You want SetupChipset.exe

For Network Controller download the driver here

You want the larger download Wireless_17.14.0_s64.exe

For the Ethernet Controller download the driver here

You want download PROWinx64.exe

Edit: I think you may need an internet connection in order to run the Chipset Utility

It works!! I've been taking stabs at this project all month! You are my savior!!

I would love to know how you figured that out, but I can settle with a solved problem.

Thank you :)

Glad those worked out for you. Are there any more yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager?

What I usually do is check the Device and Vendor id under Hardware IDs in any device that has a yellow exclamation mark. Then I go to PCIdatabase.com and input the vendor and device ID. 8086 automatically told me it was an intel device.

I'm going to run Windows Update to see how many of them it takes care of, and then I'll try doing that for any that are left. Thank you :)

Just a note. I really do not like to use Windows Update for Drivers unless it is the last option. But, you should be okay.

Did you download and run the chipset driver?

I believe the Base System Device is your card reader. I could not find the Fingerprint driver on Toshiba's site and I am not sure what the Unknown Device would be.
