Hi, for the past month or so, I've been dealing with random BSODs on my windows 7 laptop (Sager NP4658), can someone tell me what's causing them?  I've attached the dump files from the last month to this post.

I've already done a chkdsk which found no corruptions, SFC 'did not find any integrity violations', and verifier.exe (only tested all non-microsoft drivers) found no problems.

Please provide this information so we can provide a complete analysis (from the Pinned Topic at the top of the forum):  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/

Out of 7 memory dumps there were 6 different BSOD error codes.  The differing error codes are usually symptomatic of a lower level problem within the system. They are usually caused by one of these things (the list is not in any sort of order):
- borked (broken) hardware (several different procedures used to isolate the problem device)
- BIOS issues (check for updates at the motherboard manufacturer's website)
- overclocking/overheating - You'll know if you're overclocking or not. If uncertain we can suggest things to check.
- dirt/dust/hair/fur/crud inside the case.  Blow out the case/vents with canned air (DO NOT use an air compressor or vacuum as they can cause damage to the system)
- missing Windows Updates
- compatibility issues (3rd party hardware/drivers), older systems, or even pirated systems
- low-level driver problems
- or even malware (scanned for when we ask for hardware diagnostics from http://www.carrona.org/initdiag.html or http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html ).

Please get a head start on the hardware diagnostics - they are located here:  http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen both dtsoftbus01.sys and dtscsibus.sys blamed on several occasions).

Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration):  New link (15 Aug 2012):  http://www.duplexsecure.com/downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

Alright.  As for the previous post, I've uninstalled "daemon tools lite" right before I did the perfmon and SysnativeBSODCollectionApp runs and attached the results to the post.  I still do have a bit of interest in a (reliable) tool to allow me to mount .ISO files as a drive.  I did previously use "WinCDEmu" but I uninstalled that after I found obvious BSOD issues caused by the BazisVirtualCDBus.sys driver (and I manually/carefully deleted the driver file and the pointing registry entry myself).

Now, for the listed questions:

Desktop or laptop:  Laptop

Machine model: Sager NP4658 (based on Clevo W650SF)

Hardware build date:  August 2014 (but laptop was returned from a motherboard replacement on warranty a month ago)

CPU: Intel i7-4810MQ

Video Card: NVidia GeForce 840M / Intel HD4600

OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 x64 - Aquired from my college

OS installation date

Original OS:  None included

AntiVirus:  Microsoft Security Essentials, enabled and up to date (with occasional "MBAM free" scans) - No security alerts about it either unlike what perfmon seems to indicate

I'd post over in the Gamers section for replacements for Daemon Tools.

I don't use it as Win8/10 will auto-mount ISO's for me.

Please remember that BSOD's are actually a relatively rare thing - so many people will be able to use Daemon Tools without the problems that you're experiencing.

The problem (most likely) actually has to do with a combination of factors on your system.  Unfortunately, there's no easy way to study those systems that have problems and figure out why they have problems and others don't.

perfmon states that your Bluetooth is disabled.  Is this deliberate?  If so, why?

Only 231 Windows Updates installed.  Most systems have 300 or more.  Please visit Windows Update and get ALL available updates (it may take several trips to get them all).

D: drive only has less than 4% free space.  Windows likes 15% free space in order to perform stuff "behind the scenes" without adversely affecting the system's performance.  Please free up 15% on ALL hard drives (you can get away with 10% on larger drives and won't notice a large performance penalty)

Out of 14 memory dumps there were 9 different BSOD  (aka STOP or BugCheck) error codes.

Now let's wait and see if there are any further BSOD's.......

If it's hardware, some of the tests (I suspect the video) may cause crashes/BSOD's

Good luck!

First, to answer your questions,

- Bluetooth was deliberately and always have been disabled because I never had a use for it and it was reducing my battery life whenever I'm away from the plug

- I may of not had every single important update done at the moment, but another thing is I purposely googled the "kb" numbers for every "For windows" update and avoided (hid) all of the updates that mark themselves as "Enhancement for future Windows 10 support and telemetry".

- The D drive is my secondary (ssd) drive for my extra downloads, I'm aware its becoming full and I'm in the process of ordering a larger ssd in replacement for the current D drive so I have more room for my things and so my drives will be less full.  Both of my drives are and always will be SSD so performance degration is a non-issue.

Now, I've been good for quite a few days after I posted my message (in which I uninstalled Daemon Tools), and got a bugcheck several days later (see "Dump1.zip")

Then, about a little more than a week gone by and I was fine, then I got another classic bugcheck, but this time I noticed it said "A fatal video error has occured". (see "Dump2.zip")  I suspected for a while that maybe this whole thing could be partly daemon tools but mainly my integrated video...driver?  I have yet to re-install the intel driver so far, do you think this would be the culprit?

Anyway, here's my dump files as well as a new set of BSOD Analysis runs, this time being done while the website that I seem to have open when several of my bsod's occur is open just in case that helps.

Well, it appears that you know more than I do about this, so I will bow out of this topic.

Good luck to you.
