Saw this in my Feedly yesterday: http://blog.emsisoft.com/2015/06/09/new-emsisoft-emergency-kit-10-the-fastest-portable-dual-engine-malware-cleaner/

That link isn't working now, though, and the download page only offers version 9. Not sure if they jumped the gun on the announcement or retracted it due to issues, but we should see this dropping sometime soon.

EEK v10 is still in beta... probably something went wrong in the blog :P

I wouldn't pay too much attention to it to be honest.

Thanks, Alex.

I have noticed that with Feedly on occasion. It latches onto pages so quickly, it caches some really odd stuff from time to time. I caught a nice gem of a blog post I think I saved, but the first line was "Do NOT post this to the blog until approved! This is a rough draft!"

Oops.

Guess we can edit the title for this thread? Don't want to spread the confusion around any more.

Done.

Emsisoft Emergency Kit Pro for helpdesk and PC repair use should also be updated to v10 about the same time.

It's not abnormal for articles about new major version releases to be written in advance, so that they can be quickly published as soon as the stable build is ready for the public. In this case someone may have accidentally clicked the button to publish it rather than clicking the button to save it as a draft. Once they realized that it had been published, they probably moved it back into drafts since obviously Emsisoft Emergency Kit version 10 is still in beta, and we don't want to leave the announcement on the blog and not have the software ready for people to use.

I imagine that aside from a few lucky people who may have loaded the blog homepage during the short time the article was published, the only ones who saw it were the ones who are subscribed to the RSS feed.

GT500, that is exactly what happened. I use Feedly, so I get the RSS feed for the site. Like I mentioned a few posts up, I see this happen all the time. I simply was not aware it was still in beta.

Sounds exciting, though, and thanks for the confirmation of what we thought had happened.

The announcement also shows in a Google search but the link just redirects to the blog.

Well, glad to know I was only a week or so early. Not too bad.

Definitely excited about this. EEK packs quite a punch, so I am looking forward to this version. We use LabTech at work, and they license the command line scanner as "FluShot". Hoping that engine gets an update as well.

The commandline scanner uses the same technology as the GUI scanner - the only difference is, well, the GUI.

We use LabTech at work, and they license the command line scanner as "FluShot".

:hysterical:

Sorry for laughing, but that was way too funny.
