I own a 32 bit Windows 7 computer with 6 cores, and have already accepted the offer of a free windows 10 download on 29th July.

I also have a 64 bit laptop running Windows 8.1, but even though Windows update had installed the correct update to offer the free Windows 10 OS, I have not been offered it on this system?

My question is, do we get the free offer of windows 10 on ALL our windows 7 and 8 devices, or is it a case of only one offer per household?

Thanks for the prompt reply!

I wonder why I haven't received the offer on my windows 8.1 machine?

Every Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.1 Update systems are elligible for the free Windows 10 upgrade and will receive it. If you don't have the notification yet on your system, you can find troubleshooting instructions in the thread below.

I have three pcs at my house and they all have the offer for them.

My question is, do we get the free offer of windows 10 on ALL our windows 7 and 8 devices, or is it a case of only one offer per household?

As long as the PC has a valid license you could have 300 pc's. I have 3 pc's and 2 of them showed the icon. So i found a batch file.

http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-get-the-windows-10-upgrade-icon-if-its-missing/

I just a googled Win10fix_full.bat and ran as administrator. First it search for 2 MS updates which it found. The I ran number 2 option and the icon appeared and I reserved Windows 10.

That batch file can be found in the thread below on Microsoft Answers:

It was originally posted on page 90 but a MVP added it to the first reply which have some possible solutions.
