New & more current discussion topic: Zemana AntiMalware

Please post any questions, comments or feedback in the above topic.

.

Zemana AntiMalware is a second opinion malware scanner designed to rescue your computer from malware that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken.

Zemana AntiMalware rescues your computer even when other security software has let you down.
Theres no need to tinker with confusing settingswith years of experience built-in, it just works out of the box. All you have to do is download and run AntiMalware then sit back for about few minutes while it scans your machine and eliminates all potential threats.
AntiMalware is highly optimized and lightweight with virus definitions stored in the cloud, not cluttering up your drive.

It dramatically improves your security!

And it is simple to use and this is how it works:

Once youve downloaded Zemana AntiMalware, you can start a scan.
Zemana AntiMalware does not store virus definitions on your PC. Instead, when our software finds a suspicious file, it passes the fingerprint to the Scan Cloud. Milliseconds later, the Scan Cloud marks the file as safe or malicious, or else asks AntiMalware to upload it for further examination.
Zemana AntiMalware rapidly sets about removing any confirmed malicious software.

Some of the benefits include:

  • Removes unwanted apps, annoying toolbars or browser add-ons.
  • Finds and removes even deeply embedded advanced threats like rootkits and bootkits.
  • Scans thousands of files per second.
  • Compatible with other antivirus solutions.
  • In-house algorithms for zero false positives.
  • Doesn't slow down your PC.
  • Easy-to-use.

Zemana AntiMalware uses cloud based scanning and the benefits are:

  • Reduced detection time for new virus outbreaks.
  • Increased zero hour detection rates for all types of malware.
  • Rapid simultaneous scanning without system resource issues.

If a file is flagged as a FP then choose "Report as safe" option for cleaning, which will send the file to Zemana Labs for inspection or you can send the file to Zemana via e-mail so it can be whitelisted.

I have to admit my first impression of Zemana Anti-Malware isn't that impressive - it flagged my Emsisoft wallpaper as "bad".

Hopefully you guys have changed since then?

Simple idea: can you re-organize the images in the thread so they are easier to understand? Like regroup the 3 pictures showing how Zemana works on the same line and so on. Because right now, it's a paragraph, a wall of pictures that might or might not be related, then another paragraph and presentation-wise, it looks bad :/

Sorry that my first comment on this thread points this out.

Does the software cease to function after expiration of the 15-day trial period?

No, after the 15-day trial period has expired, you will have to purchase the product: http://www.zemana.com/product/zemana-antimalware/

What happens if one of the engines flagged a file that turns out to be a FP?

Well when that happens you should either choose "Report as safe" option for cleaning, which will send the file to Zemana Labs for inspection or you can send the file to Zemana via e-mail so it can be whitelisted.

I imagine that we'll be able to submit samples on that forum and report FP as well?

Sure thing. You can even post on here. I don't mind. Or just send an e-mail to support@zemana.com
