Edit - looks like I'm the dumbass, I just found the step-by-step guide to remove spyquake. I'll post a new log and a panda log after I've finished that guide.

It seems like a regular thing... every couple of months my Dad seems to f*&k up his computer. I have lavasoft ad-aware, spybot, spyware guard and spyware blaster, as well as bitdefender internet security.

It is running very slow, hopefull the cause will be found in the followin log...

Hi baRRa

Seems like you've done a good job of cleaning the infection. There's just a little tidying up to do, that's all.

Sun's Java is sometimes updated in order to eliminate the exploitation of vulnerabilities in an existing version. For this reason, it's extremely important that you keep the program up to date, and also remove the older more vulnerable versions from your system. The most current version of Sun Java is: Java Runtime Environment Version 5.0 Update 7 .
You are running an old vulnerable version of Java.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
  • Search for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... ) and delete them.
  • It/they should have this icon next to it/them: Posted Image
  • Then download and install the newest version. 1.5.07 from here.
Make sure that you can see hidden files
" Click Start
" Open My Computer
" Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options
" Select the View Tab
" Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders
" Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option
" Click Yes to confirm
" Click OK
** These files are hidden to stop you accidentally removing something important.
It is advisable to hide them again after fixing your computer. **

=================================

Go ahaed and delete SmitRem folder from your desktop. Remove/uninstall Roguescanfix from the Add/Remove Programs, if present.

Using Windows Explorer, locate and delete the following folder and files.
C:\Program Files\Roguescanfix\

C:\HJT\smitRem.exe
C:\WINDOWS\smdat32m.sys If you have trouble in deleting it in Normal Mode, you can try it in Safe Mode.

================================

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions In This Link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on: Do this only ONCE, not on a regular basis.

Remember to rehide your system files:

Start>My Computer>Tools>Folder Options>View

Under the Hidden files and Folders heading uncheck Show hidden files and folders.
check the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
check the Hide file extensions for known file types.
Click OK.

Ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Even after the trial is over you can use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so that it runs only when you start it manually and you'll need to update it manually each time before you scan.

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
