Hello, my friend is having a problem with my Mac Book Pro (old model)

Her screen turns everything black on the screen to red

I have no freaking idea where to begin trying to fix this problem, any advice? It happens to everything black on the screen, not just the game.

System specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz

ATI Radeon X1600

4 GB DDR2 SD RAM

OS X 10.7.2

Try to reset SMC and NVRAM. Possible problems with the Graphics Card make a Hardware Test to check it. Have you got errors messages in the logs? Open the console to check for hardware errors.

Also tell your friend whether he has installed new software in the last few days before this happen.
