I don't trust CNET, to much bloatware there. Try this link;

I don't trust anything by Freemake...my experience is that you get more than you anticipated.

Virus Total scan of file downloaded from CNET.

Virus total scan of file downloaded from freemake site.

It gives generic name(s) which vary according to what each vendor calls it.
Does not say what unwanted programs are associated with them.

Bottom line, stay away from that program.

In the future, if you want to submit a downloaded file or URL to Virus Total for analysis do so here

But I had previously installed Freemake's earlier version and it was working fine... the results of the analysis are mostly false positives cause I am a trusted user of Freemake...So whats the reason the file is not opening??Is it because its infected??

And Plz can you suggest alternatives for ripping videos off youtube... Thanks for your replies :whistle:

Queen-Evie, the detection for the file downloaded from Freemake site is because it's bundled with OpenCandy. Might not look like it, but Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium will quarantine the OpenCandy installer when it is dropped in %TEMP%.

As for the file from CNET, it's because it contains Spigot (a well known browser hijacker). Some AVs also detect it because it is a wrapper.

It's not. OpenCandy is bundled in plenty of things, and a lot of them you cannot opt out (like DaemonTools for example).

If you want to download videos from YouTube, check this out.
