Hi,

What started out looking like a browser hijack has ended up with several Win7 services disabled.  Here are some specs:

Lenovo laptop

Grub boot loader - dual boots Linux / Windows 7

Currently able to login, however several services disabled, among them:

lenovo fingerprint scanner login

networking

event log service

I tried using ServicesRepair.exe from a USB stick, however the problem persists across reboots.

I appreciate any advice, thank you in advance - hooverbox

How do I get help? Who is helping me?For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear....Become a BleepingComputer fan: Facebook
