I just bought a brand new computer HP a1410n computer about 3 days ago and I'm having problems using my headphones/microphone. First of all I have hole in the for the headphones, but when I plug it into there nothing happens the sound still comes out of the monitor. There is also a whole for headphones on the monitor itself and when I plug into that I do get sound form the headphones, so I know it isn't a problem with the headphones. But the problem is that plugging into the monitor doesnt work for me because i need to plug in the mic and the headphones near eachother. So does anyone know why the slots in the front won't work?

Do you have sound blaster drivers installed for your sound

if so I suggest you get rid of them and get intel® sound drivers installed it worked for me when I had the same problem
