This, I think, is an easy one.

I know to go to MSCONFIG, startup, then disable some of the programs at startup.

But I always have about 59 process in backround, and my comuter is very slow lately.

So.

1. As soon as im done her im running Ad-Aware and spy bot.

2. How do I know what all those startup programs are, and what is safe to disabel? Some are clear, like AOL. Others I have NO idea.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Gail

Hello juhgail!
Use Answers That Work or Process Library.

Put the names of the files into the box and search for them. This will help you to decide which ones to remove..

Also, concerning your slow computer, please read this excellent thread of how to speed up your computer again, which will make it run a lot smoother and hopefully faster:
Slow Computer?
Hope this helps,
Charles
