Hi lcameron322,

You may want to print out these instructions so that they are easier to follow.

Hi again lcameron322,
Congrats on being the 5,000th member!

i have had a lot of problems rebooting my computer. Is there anyway to clear these problems without rebooting

Well, we can do without booting into Safe Mode, possibly. But, there needs to be a reboot after fixing everything, to ensure that the bad files do not show up back in your log.

So, let's try it this way:

You may want to print out these instructions so that they are easier to follow.

Posted Image Be sure your system is configured to show hidden files.

Hit Ctrl > Alt > Delete and click the Task Manager button.
Click the Processes tab.
Highlight vj6kk.exe and click End Process
Exit Task Manager.

Posted Image Run HijackThis and put a check in the boxes next to the following:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/.../search/ie.html
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/...//www.yahoo.com

I'm the 5,000 member?!!! I'd like to thank my mom and dad fo never having a computer when I was a kid. I'd like to thank Kent State University for never offering me any computer skills that would actually come in handy when giving me my diploma, and last but not least, I'd like to thank God and all the biblical auththors for failing to include any helpful hints to spyware or antvirus programs.

Seriously...thanks guys for all of your help! Still haven't rebooted, but I'm sure I'll continue to be a pain in the ass when that time comes.

Thank you,
Leslee

Ayeka...
I did almost everything I was told and then got stuck. I check marked all that you listed then click "fix checked" but then I when I got to:

Close all browsers and windows (except for HijackThis) and click Fix checked

Find and delete the following files and folders in red (some may not be present):
C:\WINDOWS\system32\hnj0.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vj6kk.exe
Reboot and post a new log here

there was nothing to "find and delete" (either that or I'm too stupid to figure out how)
still haven't rebooted either.

I'm having some big time problems. If I restart my computer ( which I only do if it's neccessary because it froze up) when the green progress bar is moving for windows xp start up, numbers lock light flashes, screen gets scrambled and the computer freezes. I have to restart at least 20 times before it will reboot. I've had a lot of help from people in these forums. I've ran every test and spyware and adware scan I can find, and cannot find an expaination for this. Also when I final get started back up, the clock is always changed to april, 2003 3:something am. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd certainly appriciate it, b/c if I freeze up again, I may not be able to get back on for several hours, days...years...

Hey lcameron322,
Sorry for the delay.

There is nothing showing in your log that would indicate any problems. You may want to update your video drivers.
