Hi, i have a ENVY 17-K241NO, and would like to upgrade my WIFI-card.

I would like to upgrade my current WIFI card(BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n) to Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth. I do not know how to check if this upgrade would be possible?

I asked on the HP-forum, but after looking throught the "Maintenance and Service Guides" - as recommended. I could not really find a answer to my problem. I am therefore posting here if someone can help give me a definite answer.

Thankyou in advance

Regards

Frederik

I do not know if the policy has changed but HP was famous for whitelisting their Wi-FI cards in BIOS. If you installed any other Wi-Fi card that was not whitelisted, the computer would not boot. I would contact HP customer service and ask if your computer has a whitelist.
