Unisntall Norton to see if that helps.

Thank you Usasma, I removed SEP and installed a new version and so far so good.

 

In the logs how did you figure Norton (SEP) is causing the problem?

I WAG'd it (Wild A**ed Guess)

Seriously tho' - in situations with memory corruption and many of the AV drivers in the memory dump - the AV is my first suspect, particularly if Norton or McAfee is installed.  Second suspect is a firewall - which again brings up Norton, McAfee, and a couple of 3rd party firewall products.
