If your machine suddenly wants to restart due to "having a problem" and w/ Drive_IRQL_not_less_or_equal on a light blue screen, here is the FIX:

Hi -

I do hope and am glad if in fact that fix worked for you.

However, the 1st portion of the bugcheck is actually "DRIVER", not "DRIVE" - DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - STOP ERROR = 0xd1

A 0xd1 is very similar to bugcheck 0xa

0xd1 = driver attempted to access a bad memory address or a pageable address while the IRQL was too high.

It can be caused by a driver referencing an invalid memory address; however, I usually see bad RAM or other "unknown hardware failure" affecting RAMs ability to properly hold kernel code

For info, 0xa = IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL; a kernel-mode driver accessed paged memory (or invalid memory) when the IRQL is too high.

Regards. . .

Thanks for pointing out the typo.  Of course it's DriveR.

Cheers,
Drew
