I have had my computer lose wifi connection and the Network and Sharing Center does not open from the taskbar. When I open it from the Control Panel, the whole thing lags and does not load. Everything else on my PC works normally, except upon restarting. As soon as my computer goes into 'shut down' mode it stays on that screen for 10 minutes or more, then it BSODs. It has done this twice so far with the same conditions.

Hi Mythilas,

Try going into Safe Mode with Network

Usually to get into Safe Mode you need to tap F8 continuously immediately after turning the power on your computer..

Once you are Logged In, try to access Network and Share Center.

See if it has the same behavior

If it is same then you might have some driver issue most likely, but check it first and let me know.

You have a 300Mbps Wireless USB Adapter:

I do not recommend using wireless USB network devices.
These wireless USB devices have many issues with Win7 and later systems - using older drivers with them is almost sure to cause a BSOD.
Should you want to keep using these devices, be sure to have the latest Win8/8.1 drivers - DO NOT use older drivers!!!
An installable wireless PCI/PCIe card that's plugged into your motherboard is much more robust, reliable, and powerful.

BSOD's both point to your wifi drivers and use a wired connection (even if only temporarily).

If unable to use a wire, then download the latest, Win7SP1 compatible drivers from the manufacturer's website

Then uninstall the wifi software, then physically remove the wifi device from your system

Then test to see if it boots/shuts down normally.

If needed, then reinstall the wireless USB device and see if the problem recurs.

Just FYI - Information extracted from the dump files:

Disconnecting the device during a freeze does not solve the issue. I have updated the drivers for the wireless wifi and I'll see if it stops this.

What do you suggest for those 3rd party drivers?

Disconnecting during the freeze probably won't help - as the freeze has already occurred.

I meant to suggest removing it now, and then see if it freezes in the future.

The list of 3rd party drivers is just there in case you need to update something

I've mentioned the suggested changes in the beginning of the post.

I'll try using a different one and see if the freezing happens again.
