Have you removed the battery and power cord - then held down the power button for at least 30 seconds

Then reattach the battery and power cord and see if it does anything.

What is the make and model of this computer?

Is the disc you were trying to use a Windows 7 installation disc?

What happens when you try to boot into the BIOS?

What key are you using to open the BIOS?

Have you tried booting into Safe Mode?

To boot into Safe Mode begin with the computer shut off.

Press the power button and immediately start tapping the F8 key and continue till is boots into the Advanced Boot Options or shuts down.

If you manage to boot to the Advanced Boot Options use the up or down key to navigate to Safe Mode, then press Enter.

In order to boot from the installation disc you will need to change the boot order in the BIOS so that the DVD/CD drive is the first device in the boot order, and the hdd the second device.

Try using the Del key to access the BIOS.

Sir its not working .. :-(

Are you pressing the power button and then immediately tapping the F2 or the Del key and continuing till there is a result?
