I know for some people, this doesn't matter, but I depend moreso on the keyboard than I do on the mouse.

Does anyone know any remedies to a dead winkey?

First remedy is to try another keyboard. If that works, make sure you check the key that's giving you trouble to make sure there isn't something like a crumb stuck under it.

Failing that, here are reg keys to disable and enable your Windows Key.

Back up the Registry first!!!!

It's possible that the cause is something else. Have you tried System Restore back to before you had the problem?

Nope. Still broke. It's not just this keyboard.

And I can't system restore to the point before this started happening for two reasons. First, I didnt' install anything and my system restore points are only made when I install stuff, and secondly... well... There's no secondly.
