Hi There,

My computer says I have Internet connection but if I try to go to a website in my browser it does not work.  However, if i hotspot from my phone, everything works fine.  I have tried both wireless and wired connection to my router.  Not sure if this is a browser issue or a virus or what.  The browsers I have are Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.  I use Windows 8.1.

Regards,

Centuck

Let's try to reset your router.

Turn the computer off.

On your router, you'll find a pinhole marked "Reset".
Keep pushing the hole, using a pencil, or a paperclip until all lights briefly come off and on.
NOTE. Simple router disconnecting from a power source will NOT do.
Restart computer.

NOTE. You may need to re-check your router security settings, as described HERE

Hi Broni,

Thanks for the response but it turns out it was somehow an isp issue.  I got home later in the night and tried it again and it worked fine and saw an article that the isp was having issues.  This topic can be closed.

Thanks,

Centuck
