I am not very educated when it comes computers or viruses but I have been experiencing ongoing and current issues with several different devices for the past 4 years and would like to be able to remove any remote access Trojans or any other type of unwanted remote connections. I have noticed there are entries added to my laptop's registry that I am not familiar with and am not allowed to make any edits to some of these entries? Also, my windows product key has been mysteriously deactivated and then re-activated. I am currently using the Comodo firewall in addition to the built-in Windows Firewall and with no browser opened or any other programs running, it shows 52 active connections even after selecting the 'block all connections' inside the firewall program. I have noticed two instances running in task manager named 'client server runtime' and get an 'access denied' error if I attempt to try to force shutdown of either instances. I also do not have the proper administrator rights and/(or) permissions of certain files and folders and I suspect my 2 personal email accounts (one Gmail, one yahoo) is also being hacked. I have noticed there are 2 different versions of windows 8.1 installed as I have a folder for 32bit and 64bit, and LOTS of folders and files that have wither disappeared or have appeared that I am not familiar with. I suspect that somehow the 2 hdd/sdd's are both somehow being swapped and/(or) tampered with as the changes are noticed in both but are not exactly the same. I also believe my wireless network card (nic) has been effected as well as the indicator light on the case of my laptop shows that it is powered on although my laptop's display screen says it is not and i noticed I can connect to wireless networks in range even though I have disabled the LAN in the Bios in addition to the built-in camera. I have tried resetting and restoring my laptop but I am still effected even after the attempted quick fix of retore and reset and have noticed that with my installation cd's for windows 8.1 that my personal files and folders that we're added by me are now on the Windows 8.1 installation discs. Normal virus scans do not detect anything and I'm almost certain my firewall settings have been modified. I'm sure there are other problems that I'm experiencing that I have forgotten to mention but hope this gives enough detail for you to be able to narrow down the culprit of the problem and hopefully advance to recovery and safe and secure usage from this point forward. Also, important to mention is that this laptop is not the only device that connects to our home wireless network. There are several other devices that connect to our home wireless network and I am almost positive are also affected by a virus of some sort which include a brand new samsung smart tv, brand new iPhone, 2 brand new iPads, one other Toshiba laptop, a receiver, comcast cable box, and a DVD player. I am listing these possibly infected devices because I am also suspecting that our wireless router is infected as well as I have been receiving lots of errors involving the DNS and DHCP gateway, even after unplugging and allowing the router to reset. These errors are not your typical once in a blue moon errors. They are more of a 'harassment' issue as it is ongoing and when connected and no sooner do I click on a link in my browser that I am no longer connected with Internet access through my wireless network and re-connect and once again - no internet access, and this is repetitive sometimes happening for up to one hour at a time instances and lastly, my wireless signals are also showing interference but is also more of a harassment issue as well. Any help someone can give me on effectively removing this annoying problem and securing my wireless network and devices would be GREATLY appreciated as I am at my wit's end at this point.

Can someone please tell me what a normal scan of 'show hidden' looks like? I'm thinking that this many folders listed in the scan results that something is apparently bad wrong!Attached File  Show-Hidden 2nd run.txt   3.84MB   4 downloads

  Thank you for your time, assistance, and your quick response. It is great to know that there are people like you who take time from their own personal lives to help people like myself, who have very little or no knowledge at all to repair issues with our computers on our own.  😉 👊 👊                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              There are a couple more things I should probably add to my original post. I have noticed four VPN folders that have somehow managed to 'set up shop' on my laptop and I have NO IDEA how they ended up on it because I have NEVER IN MY LIFETIME used a VPN and if I even attempted to use one, I'd have no clue as to what I was doing. I have attempted to to fix issues using sfc /scannow on several occasions and the results of the scan always show 7 files that are corrupt and says the corrupted files will be repaired on the next boot, but after every sfc /scannow and I have re-booted my computer, those 7 files are continually repetitive issues.I have noticed at times I experience EXTREMELY SLOW internet browsing. I also notice in the windows built-in firewall that my settings are prepeatedly changed, so as soon as I notice they've been changed, I immediately change them back to the way I originally had them set, and... (Repeat, Repeat, Repeat).... Also, I bought this laptop basically brand spankin new and I was so impressed with the speed, but I, unfortunately am no longer able to say that anymore as the boot time is horribly, awfully slow and my comodo firewall takes 2-3 minutes to start after windows loads. Windows Defender unexpectedly stops and the only way to restart it, is to open the services and manually start it. At certain times, I have very high CPU usage. Im not sure if its just me over-reacting to every little thing since Im having so many issues, but it seems as though any type of scanner that I try using is scanning extremely fast for some reason as if the scanner isnt really doing its normal scan speed. And last, but not least, I logged into our Comcast modem/router (a 2-in-1 device) and I noticed there are some devices that have logged on the past that Im not sure what or who's devices they are, but my main concern is there were 3 ACTIVE connections listed, which one was an ipad, one was my laptop which I was on at the time, but the THIRD device actively connected puzzled me because the device was named 'sunnyairplane076' which is the password for our OLD store-bought router we were previously using in addition to a store-bought modem which we had the option of purchasing our own modem and router when we signed up for cable/internet services with comcast. Around 6 months - 1 year ago, a comcast customer service representative recommended using their equipment which is the modem + router = 1 that we are currently using and was told their equipment provided much better security. The 'sunnyairplane076' router has been unplugged and stored in a computer desk since the day we received the modem+router=1. If I try to delete the device from the list of devices that are mac-address specific allowed connections, my laptop iimmediately disconnects from our wireless network, I re-connect to it, but can not load any browser page until i go back to the previous modem/router settings page and add the 'sunnyairplane076' device back to the list. Anyways,... I have a Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook E45t-A4200 with Windows 8.1 OS 64-bit version with Windows 8 & 8.1 CDs/DVDs. The discs did not come with my original purchase of this laptop, but were bought when Dad upgraded from Windows 7 to  Windows 8 on his laptop. After he upgraded, he decided he preferred Windows 7 over Windows 8 and gave me his Windows 8 & 8.1 discs. My laptop came with a pre-installed operatiing sysrem with built-in product key.  Anyways,... (WHEW!)!!....   :killcomp:       LOL       :busy:                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       And here are the results of the FRST scan...

Hello INQUIRING_MIND_ and welcome to BleepingComputer!            :)

My name is Sirawit and I'm here to help you.

Please note that I'm currently in training and my fixes need to be approved first, that may delay our fix a bit, but I will normally reply back in 24 hours.

If I don't reply after 3 days, feel free to PM me.             :)

==========================================================================

Some points for you to keep in mind:

  • Backup any files that cannot be replaced. Removing malware can be unpredictable and this step can save a lot of heartaches if things don't go as planned. You can put them on a CD/DVD, external drive or a pen drive, anywhere except on the computer.
  • We ask you to run different tools in a specific order to ensure the malware is completely removed from your machine, and running any additional tools may detect false positives, interfere with our tools, or cause unforeseen damage or system instability.
  • Please do not run any tools or take any steps other than those I will provide for you while we work on your computer together. I need to be certain about the state of your computer in order to provide appropriate and effective steps for you to take. Most often "well intentioned" (and usually panic driven!) independent efforts can make things much worse for both of us. If at any point you would prefer to take your own steps please let me know, I will not be offended. I would be happy to focus on the many others who are waiting in line for assistance.
  • Do not attach logs or use code boxes, just copy and paste the text.
  • Periodically update me on the condition of your computer, and provide detail in every post.
  • In the upper right hand corner of the topic you will see the Followtopic.jpg button. Click on this then choose Immediate E-Mail notification and then Proceed and you will be sent an email once I have posted a response.
  • If you do not reply to your topic after 5 days we assume it has been abandoned and I will close it.
  • Once things seem to be working again, please do not abandon the thread. I will give an "all-clean" message at the very end with some additional information on how to stay malware-free.
  • Lastly, I would like to remind you that most members here are volunteers, and sometimes "real life" can get in the way of our malware hunt. I will notify you if I know I will need to be away for longer than 48 hours.

==========================================================================

Can you please summarize all of your problems please? Also please post your addition.txt log (Can be found in the same folder as FRST.txt).

Thank you.

If I don't reply back to you in 2 days, feel free to send me a PM.

I have no clue what to di now. I have no access to command prompts with administrator privileges now and common files like task manager, any programs i try to open (even on my desktop), access to registry, are all giving error messages saying that the service has been disabled or there is no device associated with it with a file path of WINSySX: in the error messages. I just looked at that WINSysX: directory files and folders and someone has added 4 VPN's on that entire drive and on the properties folder the of the VPN folder it lists C:/Windows. So im thinking the VPN's are activated as soon as I power up and start my computer and this is where the active connection that shows up on my modem/router with the name as my old router is the device connecting to my computer adding all this and changing everything on my laptops system!! I need your HELP ASAP as this has been going on with ALL my electronics including cell phones, smart tv, my dads phones and computers , EVERYTHING for OVER FOUR YEARS and this CONCERNS and WORRIES ME VERY VERY MUCH because NO ONE does all this much work and put this much effort into so much hacking FOR OVER FOURS FOR NO REASON. Im afraid there may be a group of people planning a conspiracy against me in a organized crime ring and need this off all of our devices ASAP I will be filing a police report witg=h our local police dept in just a few minutes. PLEASE help me. Thank you.

================

I forgot to mention in my last message to you that it seems windows to go has also been activated also which was also not done me as well.

Actually, I have not been able to get my laptop to load windows anymore. My screen just goes black and does nothing. I have just learned that the four VPN's I found on my laptop are actually EXTERNAL FIREWALLS!!! I know that remote administration is what's going on but how do I get this off? They are sending fake emails from my account also even after just recently changing my password and are interfering with my email being sent/received. They have access to my online accounts. And get this... I went to my ex boyfriends house yesterday and I used his iPad while I was there. I noticed on a pet rescue app that I had downloaded to his iPad had advanced in the levels I was currently on. A few days before while at his house I had logged into my Facebook account to play pet rescue so my progress in the game would be saved to my Facebook account. I was on level 528 in the game. I logged out of my Facebook account before leaving his house. But yesterday when I went back or his house and used his iPad, I had NOT logged into Facebook and went straight into the pet rescue app to begin playing the game, and I noticed my progress on the game had advanced to level in the 530's range (which was accurate but I had played and advanced in the levels from 528 to the 530's at MY HOUSE ON MY PERSONAL DEVICES; NOT HIS even while I was logged out from his iPad)!!!
