I didn't yet run the Farbar scan because a prompt came up and said something to the effect that it poses serious risk to my computer, or something along those lines.

How should I proceed?  Thanks again, Nasdaq!

Thanks!

Downloaded from the link I gave you the file is safe.

I'm sure that you can tell the security software you use to accept the downloaded file.

If you have any problems let me know what virus protection software you have installed.

Nasdaq,

I took the steps as directed, and as requested, Fixlog.txt is attached for you.

My computer is running faster than it was previously running.

I'll wait to hear back from you on further steps.

Thanks!

Best,

~mybcun

Nasdaq,

My computer is running faster than it was before, but I don't think it's running as fast as it should.  Perhaps we should go through the steps again?  Or, are there any other things we can do, please?  Thanks so much, Nasdaq!

Best

There could be some remnant items.

Run an online scan with Eset (easiest with Internet Explorer): http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/
To shorten the scanning time disable your antivirus program while scanning.

Select Enable detection of potentially unwanted applications.
Click Advanced Settings.

Deselect Remove found threats.

Select:
Scan Archives
Scan for potentially unsafe applications
Enable Anti-Stealth Technology

Click Start.

When the scan is finished, click on List of found threats and then Export to text file. Copy the content of the text file and paste its content in your reply.
