Hi, can anyone with next steps.

The computer was my sisters - she recieved the infamous call from Microsoft who took credit card details via computer. I cleared a lot of issues initially, now all scans coming up clear but with malwarebytes i have a constant message as per subject line.

So far (with the help of an experienced person who needs a medal for patience) i have run Malwarebytes scan, Adwclearner, HitmanPro, ESET, FRST, ZOEK and ComboFix. Still no change. Message frequency increasing.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem? or any idea what else i can try?

I'd be so grateful for any additional help.

Hi there,

Since you have ran FRST, Zoek and ComboFix, it is best that you post those logs for review by a Malware Response Team member.

Please follow the instructions in ==>This Guide<== starting at Step 6. If you cannot complete a step, skip it and continue.

Once the proper logs are created, then make a NEW TOPIC and post it ==>HERE<== Please include a description of your computer issues, what you have done to resolve them, and a link to this topic.

If you can produce at least some of the logs, then please create the new topic and explain what happens when you try to create the log(s) that you couldn't get. If you cannot produce any of the logs, then still post the topic and explain that you followed the Prep. Guide, were unable to create the logs, and describe what happens when you try to create the logs.

It would be helpful if you post a note here once you have completed the steps in the guide and have started your topic in malware removal. Good luck and be patient.

If HelpBot replies to your topic, PLEASE follow Step One so it will report your topic to the team members.

On a side note... is it just me or this is a coincidence?

Regards,
Alex

I'm digesting your reply, and thank you sincerely. The external link is from the person who has been helping me thus far. At this point i suspect i need to wipe the PC, but thought a last set of eyes might be worth a go.

Thanks again, preparing to follow your instructions!

Hi there,

If TwinHeadedEagle is helping you, please stick with him until the very end. It is not a good practice to start another topic asking for help while you are already receiving assistance.

I would suggest you continue your topic with him.

Regards,
Alex

Apologies, was not trying to anything underhand - just seeing if anyone had specific experience with this particular problem so i can stop harassing poor TwinHeadedEagle!
