Hi community :hello: ,

I have a doubt to be cleared:

AFAIK, DNS server entries set at end point systems using Windows override the router/server/switch/DHCP server set DNS server entries unless a Firewall rule or ACL is attached to intermediate networking devices (router/server/switch) to re-route port 53 traffic to specified address.

 

  1. Is the above statement (ie, my observation )correct?
  2. What about *nix and other non-windows systems? Does they follow the above?

I appreciate if you can justify your points.... :)
