I have been researching and reading and downloading forums and tools and fixes.

I am currently running Yahoo Pop-Up blocker, Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D 1.3, Norton AV, SpywareBlaster and have updated all my IE security settings for preventative purposes according to ComputerCops.biz experts.

However, everybody is so overwhelmed, I can't seem to get my log reviewed to confirm if I'm clean or not. Please see below, and thanks for your help!

Hello fenimore10,

Kudos to you..you have very good protection in place..make sure to keep everything updated, and I don't think you will have any problems.

You have a couple of problems yet:

You have the peper trojan. Download the uninstaller. When running it be sure to let it have internet access through any software firewalls you may have.

Download Peper Uninstaller from here and save it - http://www.downloads.subratam.org/uninst.exe.
Double click on uninst.exe, let it run and terminate. (You must be online for the uninstall to be successful).

Run it until the following line no longer appears in your log:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [25KD8LX3KXST#7] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\Zgl8.exe

If that tool doesn't do it after 5 or 6 attempts (often peper comes in multiples, so it may take a few runs to remove it) try this tool:

http://members.shaw.ca/techcd/VB_Projects/PeperFix.exe
Save it to your desktop, doubleclick on it, click 'Find and Fix' and reboot if prompted.

Once that is fixed, fix the following with HJT:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WINT] C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wcpcc.exe

Reboot in safe mode and delete the following:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\wcpcc.exe<---file only. This is purity scan adware.

While still in safe mode, run Adaware and Spybot again.

In your 016 files, I personally remove anything that has download in it. If it is for something legitimate, it will reload when you need it.

Reboot and post a new log:D

EDIT: I probably should ad that I am not currently a member of the HJT team here, but I am at SFDC...just thought I would lend a hand. ;)

Ok, just a couple more, and you will be good to go:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = about:blank
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,CustomizeSearch = res://C:\PROGRA~1\TOOLBAR\TOOLBAR.DLL/sa

Make sure all other windows and browsers are closed, then click "Fix Selected"

That should be it. Nice job!! :D
