Hello BleepingComputer community,

I am new to this mainly because I want to fix this annoying issue. So, let me tell you the tale.

I am currently doing YouTube just for the fun of it and enjoying it. So, one of my buddies came over and he had a mic I could use. I asked him if I could borrow it and I realized that I only had one port so luckily they had a mic converter. I plugged it in and ran Audicity and it didn't show up. The audio is perfectly fine. It just registers my build in mic. I went to Microsoft Tech Support and had to pay for some idiotic support plan because "it needed advanced Microsoft support".

I don't know what I should do. There is no issues showing up. What shall I do?

After HOURS of googling for support, I went to Geeksquad and then they said I need a different headset or a different jack. There goes 3 hours I'll never get back.

What's the make and model of the computer?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?
