Okay, My computer is no longer hibernating. Its turning off the screen briefly and then it comes right back on. It started doing this after I pressed the restart button on my pc while it was hibernating. Now it doesnt hibernate. I was wondering if someone could help me out. The last time I had this problem was after a system install of windows 7 and it turned out the only solution that worked was reinstalling Windows 7. I want to try and avoid that as the problem is user induced.

I have done -powerdevicequery and I have set the Keyboard and mouse to not wake the keyboard. I tried system restore. I even tried deleting the hiberfil.sys. None of these steps solved the problem.

It would help if you posted the make and model of this computer so we would know what we are dealing with.

Have you tried returning all of the power options to their default settings?

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
