The result from a dism...............restorehealth scan was Error 0x800f0906 .... the source file could not be downloaded.  I looked in the Dism log file but couldn't find a specifiic file.  Warning file with Failed to load the provider and and Error Failed to get the IDism Object Interface.  I did a net stop wuauserv scan and have done a dism........scanhealth which said the component store is repairable and did a dism.exe..................startcomponentcleanup and a dism.exe....................analyzecomponent store but when I did an sfc  scan and a dism restorehealth I got the same results that there were corrupt files that could not be fixed and and the source files could not be downloaded.  I don't know what else I can do.  I have done a Windows Update, chkdsk, disk cleanup too.

Thanks very much for all your help Go The Power :) but unfortunately the corruptions have not been fixed and I didn't get a file on completion on my Desktop SFCFix.txt.  Corrupt files. :ranting: , hey ho, suppose the only option now is a refresh or factory reset :censored:  :( .

I have just read this:   http://www.infoworld.com/article/2922324/microsoft-windows/windows-usage-tracker-patch-kb-3022345-triggers-sys-file-corruption-which-sfc-is-unable-to-fix.html  so I have changed my mind about a refresh.
