good morning to all,

i decided to build a very cheap pc around the intel j1900 quad core onboard cpu (asrock q1900m pro3)

i have most of the parts and i have to buy only the hard disk and 2 gb ddr3 ram

as i have seen from pictures the cpu does not have any fan although there is a cpu fan connector on the motherboard

the consumption of the cpu is qute low but i need a fan to cool down the chip since i leave in a very hot country

room ambient temperature is 27 to 34 without air condition

my case have an 80mm exhaust fan but is not enough

any idea ?

many thanks in advance

Zip tie on a 60MM fan onto the cooler, or screw it into the fins if you can.

Sorry if I snap at you. I can't stand stupid for more than 5 minutes at a time.

Specs that I'm looking at...indicate a cooler.

No it doesn't look like it Ham .. It says it has a cpu fan header but thats not a actual fan. It says:

With cooler --- Yes ...

but that doesn't mean it has a fan... the cooler is the Heatsink.  Which it does have .. and I am sure they figured that would be enough for a celeron chip.  But not where the heat is always excessive.  I would get a 120mm fan and filter and epoxy the fan onto the heatsink.. attach the filter to the top of the fan and have the fan pointing up (sucking air from the heatsink away from the motherboard outward.

Agreed...I've only ever had a couple of boards with embedded CPUs but that was eons ago...I think I just went with one of those PCI slot fans, it was a long time ago :).
