When trying to launch Defender I get the above error.  I get access denied errors when trying to change permissions on Defender files when logged in as Administrator.  Thanks for this awesome Forum!

Do you have any other AV solution installed?

According to Microsoft Community forum Mods, this error can also be due to malware infection.
