I have a Western Digital model # WD7500E035-00 and all of a sudden my computer is not recognizing it.  I have ran the Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows and it didn't even show up.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!

Hi there chugg,

You are talking about an old WD Elements external USB 2.0 drive with additional power supply, right? I'm willing to bet that the problem is in the cable/power adapter. Try replacing those and see how that goes. And a word of advice - if at any point your data is available, do a backup, just in case the problem is in the drive itself. Keep me posted, Citizen_WD
