I am sure this must be covered some where but I can't find it. We have a desktop computer running XP. she uses FireFox and accidentally loaded the Ask Toolbar. The thing is I do not see it listed in the control panel remove list of programs or is it on the CCleaner list of programs. any suggestions on how to remove this little devil.

Hi Robvw :)

The Ask Toolbar is usually really easy to uninstall. Follow the instructions below please.

  • Download MiniToolBox and move the executable file to your Desktop;
  • Execute MiniToolBox and check the following options:
    • List Installed Programs;
    • List Last 10 Event Viewer Errors;

  • Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open. Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply;
