I did a system restore on my C: a few days ago and I started installing software that I had on my computer before the restore. I installed iTunes back on there and when I first opened the program it asked me if I wanted it to scan my drives for media, I said yes. After it scanned my two other drives that I have a ton of stuff on, it said that it found some media that needed to be converted and just thinking about my music, I said yes.

Well I also have a ton of movies on those other drives and now a lot of them don't work. I have tried to open them with iTunes, windows media player and VLC media player and none of them will play the file. I checked the extension and it is .mp4. I even tried to convert the file to something else and when I drag it into wondershare video converter, it tells me that it is in a format that is not supported.

Is there anything I can do to save over 100 of my movies?

Thanks for any and all help
