asus  running windows 8.  try to reformat,  message says[ harddrive locked please unlock to continue ] i have admin rights. i haven't  made the recovery disc yet /and would this work with no access to hard drive be greatfull for any help

What is the make and model of this computer?


Why are you trying to format the hdd?


If there is a problem with the operating system you can use the recovery partition to revert it back to the condition it was in when it came out of the box.

Family and loved ones will always be a priority in my daily life.  You never know when one will leave you.
