You also posted about this issue here http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f320/gmail-forwarding-991201.html

Please clarify some things you said in your topic there.

Are you wanting to forward all mail from one gmail account to a different gmail account?

OR

Do you have multiple gmail accounts and want to forward mail to more than one gmail (or other email) account? If this is the case it cannot be done.

OR

Do you want to do something else?

What is leading you to believe that you "did not know if I did it right"?

If the To box next to Forward a copy of incoming mail is blank I don't know what to tell you. The To box should have the address you want the mail forwarded to.

The only thing I can think of is for you to set it up again and see if that works.

Is this the procedure you followed when setting up forwarding?

1) Sign in to the account you want to forward to a DIFFERENT gmail address.

Example: you want to forward mail from ABC@gmail.com to XYZ@gmail.com
You would sign in to the ABC email account.

2) Once you sign in, and gmail loads, click the drop down arrow next to the gear. Click SETTINGS.

3) Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.

4) Choose Add a forwarding address.

5) Enter the email address of the gmail account you to forward mail to.

6) Click Next.

7) Confirm by clicking Proceed.

8) You will be told A confirmation code has been sent to verify permission.

Check the account the mail will forwarded to for the confirmation email. Using the example that would be XYZ gmail account.

9) Click the link in the verification email.

10) After clicking the link to verify forwarding go back to the account. Once again, click Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Tick the option to enable forwarding. Scroll down the page and click Save Changes.

11) Send a test email to ABC account. Then check to see if it was forwarded to XYZ account.

Step 11 is the last step. If set up correctly sending an email to that address should forward it to the other one. After you send it check the mail it should be forwarded to and see if it did get forwarded.

Of course it may not work since you say the To box is empty.

It should look like this (for obvious reasons I edited out the first part of the email address)

gmail-forwarding.png

It's late for me. I am shutting down the computer for the night.

I will return sometime in the morning.

I am clueless when it comes to Windows 8.

Post your question(s)in the Windows 8 forum where those with Windows 8 experience will see it.

I saw it.

As much as I don't know about Windows 8, I know less about various apps, which is why I suggested posting in Windows 8 where you might get more help with what you seek.
