Good afternoon! My mother in law crashed her computer, it's a Dell laptop that was running Vista. The first time i seen it there was essentially an error message informing me the was no os installed. I told her we just needed to buy a Windows installation disk and put it on. Instead she took the laptop to a local computer repair guy and paid him 70something dollars to fix it. She picked it up the day after Christmas and let my 13 year old son be the first to play with it. He immediately downloaded minecraft and then went on to find mods. Next day... i turn on the computer and click the chrome icon. Website won't load check proxy Settings...

I unchecked the use proxy. And checked auto detect. 2 min later no internet. After a lot of google and thread reading i found a tip to run chrome as administrator. Works for about an hour at a time. Plus started getting virus pop-ups and crap like that. Went into program and features. Found one called ibiti googled it . Malware. Unintalled. Also safe search and vostern. Also un installed. Worked ok for a few weeks.then started bugging out again. Been in a vicious cycle for months. My son gets on and plays minecraft. Grandma lets him. Uncle says not a cult. I say stay off servers and stop downloading mods. No one listens to me. Today i found an old vista reinstallation disc. Im totally willing to burn all my pics on dvd and reformat. I went so far as to hit the registry and anything that said python safe driver, speed my pc, and deleted all im on my phone and really would appreciate a walk thru on the reformat. Plus a way to keep anyone from ever playing minecraft on this laptop ever again
