I believe Grinler posted a link, may have been Union Thug, that showed how to change Win 8 to look like Win 7. Anyone have that?

With that said (am new to 8 ) would you make the change?

If it's just the looks and a navigating issue you can use Classic Shell and tweak it to look like Windows7.Hope that's what you are talking about.

I simply Googled "how to make windows 8 look like windows 7", and apparently it was a top search.

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/make-windows-8-8-1-look-like-windows-7-xp/
http://www.cnet.com/uk/how-to/how-to-make-windows-8-look-like-windows-7/
http://www.pcworld.com/article/2109735/replace-windows-8-with-windows-7-or-a-look-alike.html

Also, ClassicShell was listed as a top result, so I would say it would be good to use it.

Thanks guys, that's what I was looking for. I'm new to 8 and am just trying to work through it.

All good. There's a thread on ClassicShell forums with the icons needed to make it look like the Windows 7 menu. I used when customizing a Windows 8 laptop with it, maybe you'll find it interesting.

ClassicShell is a program that creates a Windows Start Menu shell for Windows 8/8.1, for those who wants the "old" start menu from Windows XP, Vista or 7 (mostly 7) back. It's totally free to use, have an incredible community support and tons of users.

I guess it's the most popular start menu shell program used right now. And you can use it if you want, there's no reasons to not use it unless you don't want a Start Menu back.
