Over the last week my PC has not been able to shutdown through the usual method (shut down button/cmd line method etc). The only way I can turn the pc off is by holding the power button for several seconds. I've tried sfc/scannow and a complete computer reset/format with no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have fast startup enabled?

I did have fast startup enabled. I disabled this feature and the problem seems to have disappeared, thanks for the help!
