Hello, I'm new here!

I'm experiencing some problems on a fresh install of Windows XP Professional SP3. I know the computer is old but I want to try and fix it or at least know what is wrong with it for knowledge before recycling, for example, The computer stayed on downloading ALL night without any problems, and it seems the problems are more when restarting the computer, sometimes it will also crash when I am in the middle of doing something but it is quite rare since I downgraded from Windows 7 to a fresh install of Windows XP Professional.

The computer sometimes freezes at "Shutting down" when shutting down the computer, The mouse, keyboard and everything is frozen and I am forced to manually restart. Other times it will shut down with out any problems.

The other problem is when restarting the computer, many times it will restart like normal until it gets to the Windows is loading logo, once the logo goes away I immediately get a BSOD and the PC automatically restarts, I then select "Last known good configuration" and I get the same BSOD after the logo, I then select "Start windows normally" I then get a BSOD again, finally I try again "Start windows normally" and everything loads fine, but when I get into my user I get this message "One of the files containing the system's Registry data had to be recovered by use of log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful."

I noticed that in device manager I have 2x "Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for high definition audio" so I disable the one for my graphics card and leave the one for on board audio, but every time I restart the PC both of them are enabled and the one for the graphics card has the yellow mark with the message "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12) - If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on this system."

Here are my system specifications:

Windows XP Professional Edition SP3 X86
AMD Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR ZHF3
Asus P5GD1 Motherboard
Intel 3.2 GHZ processor
80GB IDE Maxtor HDD
DVD RW Slave on IDE
512MB DDR RAM
350W PSU

What I have done to troubleshoot:

I have ran the Intel diagnostic utility on my CPU and have passed the test, I have ram Memtest86 with 10 passes with no errors, I have tested my hard drive with SeaTools for Windows and passed, I have tried different power supplies, and have also tried a different graphics card, I even cleaned out the whole computer with a compressor and even cleaned and reapplied thermal paste to my CPU. I also have monitored the temperatures of my PC and they are all stable. (CPU averages 60 ° when stressed and about 45° when idle)

Here is the most recent BSOD I received when restarting my PC.

I forgot to mention, Right now there is no driver for my ATI Radeon HD 6700 ZHF3 because I have no idea what driver to get for Win XP SP3 Professional X86 - I already tried one but I think it caused my system to be even more unstable, if you know what driver I need then please tell me, I would install the driver only through device manager or through the exe file but I will only install the driver and not CCC etc as it would probably cause instability

Have you checked the board for bad capacitors?

If that isn't the problem, try getting the latest drivers from Asus (ASUS P5GD1 Drivers & Downloads).

AMD uses a unified graphics driver now, here are the AMD Radeon HD Drivers for Windows XP 32-bit.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I would run the Seagate hard drive diagnostic.

System has limited RAM, an older hard drive...it could be anything, IMO.  I would try to eliminate the hard drive from suspects by running the diagnostic.
