How does one add a email program to default programs In Windows7

Click on Start  >>>Control Panel  >>> Default Programs  >>> Set your Default Programs  >>>.To set a program as rthe default for all the filetypes and protocols it can

 

open, Click the program and then click Set as default

Thank you It works for Winmail which I had to download. Could not get it to work for my priority email prgram,which is GMAIL

I'm going to guess that it can't be done. Setting a default Email client involves declaring an application to be opened for mail. Gmail is done through a browser, not a mail application.

 

However...you can set gmail as the default to open "mail to" links...if this is any help ....

 

I am unaware of the browser you are using....in Firefox, you click on options, then applications...then mailto...highlight the line...then scroll down to 'gmail' and select that as the default.

If you have Microsoft Office you should be able use Outlook.


If you don't stand for the flag then you will fall for anything!
