I have a Win7 64Bit Home Premiume Disc I got fro Microsoft with the Product Key.

I put this on all of my PCs that I make.

But now I have a Dell that I got with win7 64Bit Home Premiume installed on it.

I wanted to do a Non Destructive Repair Install of win7 with the one I have.

So I Logon as Administrator and go into Windows Updats and I see in the List   Service Pack 2.

Now I know I should Delete this before I go on but I left it.

Because the Win7 Disc I have just has Service Pack 1.

So I put my Dick in and let it startup on my Desktop.

And yes I click Upgrade and it does it and keeps all my Programs and files.

And it restarts a fue times.

All is good but one thing.

I go to Activate it and I try to use my Product key that came with my Win7 I got and no good.

So I got the system product key at the start just as a baskup incass.

I used Jelly Bean to get my system Produck key.

So now I try that key and no good.

I know I got a Dell system and it came with win7 installed on it and it is an OEM.

And yes I know Dell puts it on all there systems.

But is this because I did not Delete the service pack2 in the win updates list?

I did this before even though my system has win installed from Dell I do  have a good copy of win7 and the same verson.

What am I missing?

Please tell me in your own words do not send me to a link.

Thank you.
