hi my computer fan been going warp speed for atleast 1 year and a half

What is the make and model of this computer?

Please download and install Speccy to provide us with information about your computer.  Clicking on this link will automatically initiate the download. 
 
When Speccy opens you will see a screen similar to the one below.

Click on File which is outlined in red in the screen above, and then click on Publish Snapshot.
 
The following screen will appear, click on Yes.

The following screen will appear, click on Copy to Clipboard.

In your next post right click inside the Reply to Topic box, then click on Paste.  This will load a link to the Speccy log.

it's ok now my friend who knows nothing about computers told me to turn the computer off and unplug the computer and spam the on button (i think this drains the power out idk) and plug the power cable back in and turn computer on and it started to go back to being quiet again

It discharges the voltage stored in the capacitors of the motherboard and PSU.  This can effectively return some default values.

 

If the problem returns you should post back in this topic to find a permanent resolution to this problem.
