What happens if you right click on the icon and then click on delete?

Did you enable the self-protection module in the Advanced Settings?

That should do it if Malwarebytes was properly uninstalled.

My guess is with what dc3 said. I've seen that issue in the past. It's because the "Self protection module" was enabled that you can't delete the icon. So either running the mbam-clean.exe, or reinstalling Malwarebytes, disabling the "Self protection module" and uninstalling it again will do the job.

And that is why I said properly uninstalled.

I would recommend you to use any uninstaller programs to delete it, like Revo uninstaler Pro, IObit uninstaller, any other good uninstaller programs. that should take care of it.. And like AURA said you can use mbam-clean.exe.

Cheers... :) :love4u:

I'm pretty sure that a powerful uninstaller won't get rid of Malwarebytes Self-Protection Module. Also, the program is gone, so he cannot uninstall it, he would have to reinstall it. And if he does reinstall, all he have to do is to disable the "Self-Protection Module", then uninstall it and the icon will dissapear.

Third-party uninstallers are not necessary for removing Malwarebytes.
