Go to control panel the hardware and sound then device manager, double click on the mouse.  When it drops down showing the mouse right click it and go to properties try updating the driver.  May or may not work!

I have Googled the issue seems quite common, you may want to do some reading about the issue in relation to your laptop model.

I'd go into Device Manager...uninstall the touchpad driver (not the mouse driver)...and then reboot (driver should reinstall automatically).

I am not sure if you have this option but go to control panel and open your mouse/touchpad. Under Pointer Options uncheck Enhanced Pointer Precision and click the movable slide two clicks to Fast. See if that helps.
