win 7 UAC changes itself back after lowering it, it goes back to the top level,

also cant install connect backup pc , says hard drive is full when it is not full.

i am thinking this is some maleware or corrupt windows registry.

has anyone seen this??

Hi nsdemon :)

Let's take a look at your system first in order to get more information. I doubt a malware would raise the UAC level to the top level on every reboot, since it would just make it harder for it to do anything on the system.

  • Download MiniToolBox and move the executable file to your Desktop;
  • Execute MiniToolBox and check the following options:
    • List Installed Programs;
    • List Last 10 Event Viewer Errors;
    • List Devices - Only Problems;
    • List Users, Partitions and Memory size;

  • Once this is done, click on Go and wait for the scan to complete;
  • Once the scan is complete, a log will open. Please copy/paste the content of the output log in your next reply;

Are you using an administrative account to do this?

Why can't you run that tool on it? What error message do you get if any?

It's hard to help you troubleshoot an issue without more information on the system. Every system is different and without information on it, it's hard to pinpoint the issue and even more a solution.
