Good morning.  I was wondering if I could get some assistance.  I have a Win7 Pro x64 laptop.  This morning it made it past the BIOS screen and just gives me a flashing cursor in the upper left corner of my screen.

I've run the manufacturer's included diagnostics, and they've come up clean.  I ran the Windows Recovery Console and tried Startup Repair.  It said it couldn't find any problems.  Does anyone have any suggestions where to go from here?

Can you F8 your way into Safe Mode screen?  If so, try boot with last known good configuration.  If nogo or cannot get into F8, wait for the regular BC techs to appear -- they will help you get back your Windows.  ?I'm wild guessing a major software clash, video and something else?

I would start by going to the Advanced Options Menu and going to Last Known Good Configuration.

If that fixes the issue from there, then that was quick.  :warrior:

Unfortunately I can't get that far.  Thanks, though.  It stalls before it registers a request to go to the Advanced Menu.

Here's a bunch of steps to try all at once:
