When I switched on my laptop today most (but not all) of the desktop icons have turned into what looks like a white blank page of paper.

I tried logging out and back in ... no success.

I tried rebooting ... no success.

I googled the problem, and it said I needed to delete iconcache.db and restart ... no success.

Then I found something which said to delete all files beginning iconcache and thumbcache in the explore folder ... no success.

I tried a couple of the batch files available on the web ... no success!

Does any one have any suggestions, please?
